Shillong, Jun 18: Players and officials of Ryntih FC got their Covid-19 vaccines today here at Polo Ground, the club said on social media.
“We hope this move inspires our fellow sportsmen to get their vaccinations done with the hope that peace and prosperity returns soon,” Ryntih said.
The club added that they are eagerly waiting to be allowed to resume their practice sessions “so that we can get our preparations for the Second Division I-League back on track”.
Another Meghalaya footballer who is known to have gotten the jab already is Aiban Dohling, whose Indian Super League club FC Goa shared photos of him getting the vaccine in Sohra last week.
