Shillong, Feb 4: Another three Meghalaya footballers – (pictured from left) Kynsailang Khongsit, Padam Chettri and Kenstar Kharshong – have joined Kenkre FC ahead of the I-League restart, TSR learnt today.

Yesterday we reported that Banpynkhrawnam Nongkhlaw had joined the Mumbai-based club.

Apart from Khongsit, who last played for FC Bengaluru United, the other three all make the move from Ryntih FC.

Nongkhlaw (Churchill Brothers), Khongsit and Kharshong (both Shillong Lajong), all three of whom are defenders, have had experience of the I-League before. For Chettri, though, this will be his first time at this level.

Chettri’s and Kharshong’s departure means that the Meghalaya state team will need to look for replacements when the final round of the Men’s Senior National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy gets underway.
