Shillong, Feb 15: Bonifilia Shullai, a keen young midfielder from Meghalaya, will be playing for Bengaluru FC’s U-15 girls’ team.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Shullai could often be seen giving it her all on the pitch in the Baby League and Children’s League here in Shillong.
She was also named Most Promising Player at the State Level Chief Minister’s Football Tournament of 2019.
Despite the disruption in the two years since because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Shullai has obviously been training hard her debut for BFC could be close at hand.
The BFC U-15 girls’ team was set up through trials conducted in September last year. Their first competitive experience will come today in the Karnataka State Football Association’s Women’s A Division League against Modern Girls FC.
The league will be played out in a single leg format, with each team set to play seven games.
