Shillong, Mar 21: Kingsmen X and Court Kings were the victors in their respective men’s and women’s finals of the North East 3×3 Basketball Challenge at St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School here yesterday.
There were more than 40 teams and in excess of 200 players from Meghalaya and the wider North East who took part in the event, which was organised by Touchline Northeast and supported by the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society and Shillong Labet Basketball Club.
In the women’s final, Court Kings proved too difficult to handle as they overcame Raaa-dio 12-6. Iairy Sangma was adjudged the Most Valuable Player.
Later, the men’s final saw Kingsmen X defeat Shillong Labet Mawjam 21-14. Lalrohpuia was adjudged the MVP.
