Shillong, Feb 23: Nongdawah CC and Cricket Lovers won their respective matches on the 11th day of the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association’s 2nd District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2023 today.
In the first match, Nongdawah batted first after winning the toss against Thynroit SCC and made 122/7 in their allotted 20 overs, with Bhaboklang Nongpluh making 35, while Osric Herbert Wanswett bagging 3/9 in four very economical overs.
In reply, though, Kyrmenskhem Nongpluh absolutely ripped through the Thynroit batting line-up to dismiss them for a mere 37 in 13 overs. Nongpluh, the Player of the Match, scalped 6/3 in three overs. Zent Avesta Kharmalki managed 12 for Thynroit but his team went down by 85 runs.
Later, Hurdles CC won the toss and also batted first. However, they were restricted to under six runs an over and finished on 113/7. Ricky Stone Nongbet top-scored with 29, while Prem Lama bagged 2/13.
Cricket Lovers chased down the target in 18.2 overs for the loss of four wickets. Mukhramul H Sarkar struck 23, while Nangkiewkupar Disiar claimed 2/13. Lama was adjudged Player of the Match.
