Shillong, Jul 5: There were victories for Thynroit SC, Madanrting SC and Golflink SC in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 in Polo here today.
Both Group A games were heavily one-sided, with Thynroit defeating Lumpyngngad SC 6-0 and Madanrting eclipsing Mawreng SC 6-1. Golflink, in Group C, pipped Umsohsun SC 1-0.
In the first match of the day, at First Ground, Thynroit’s Arphrangstone Warlarpih (23′, 48′, 70′) scored a hat-trick, while Albestar Kharbikhiew (37′), Cleofast Kshiar (42′) and Charles Nongrum (58′) got a goal each.
In the 4PM kick-off, also at First Ground, Bankyrshan Ryndong (2′, 35’+1, 58′) was the hat-trick hero for Madanrting in the 70-minute match. Sparlington Thongni (33′), Jeremy Nongkynrih (63′) and Baketlang Thabah (70′) picked up one each. Wanshanbok Sohshang (23′) scored Mawreng’s only goal.
At the same time but over at Third Ground, Golflink’s Willborn Langstieh provided the winning goal in the 62nd minute.
