Shillong, Jul 12: The State Level Subroto Cup 2024 football tournament has reached the finals stage, with all three title matches to be played at First Ground, Polo here on Saturday.
There was a rather big shock for Assam Rifles Public School of East Khasi Hills, as they lost both of their semifinal matches in penalty shootouts in the U-15 boys’ and U-17 boys’ categories, the latter of which they were the defending champions of.
The tournament, organised by the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, began on Tuesday, bringing together the best schools from the 12 districts of Meghalaya for the annual event.
Saturday will witness all three finals in the U-15 boys’, U-17 girls’ and U-17 boys’ categories.
