Shillong, Nov 5: Mylliem SC rose to second place in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2024 with a 2-1 win against Lawsohtun SC at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The other match of the day saw Nongrah SC versus Mawkhar SC finish 2-2.
Janhameshwa Marngar produced a brace for Mylliem, scoring in the 15th and 39th minutes, while Blashan Nongkynrih (65′) found a goal for Lawsohtun in the second half.
Later, it was a third straight draw for Mawkhar and this was after they held the lead twice in the match.
Vergelous Shylla (5′) netted first only for Ksanbor Mawlong of Nongrah to equalise in the 23rd minute. Then, on the half hour, Rickyshan Warjri (30′) put Mawkhar in front again but, once again, Nongrah drew level, this time thanks to Evening Tariang (42′). There were no further goals in the second half.
The next First Division match will take place on Thursday at 11:30AM between Pohkseh SC and Umphyrnai SC.
