Shillong, Sep 4: Yohaan Benjamin, formerly of Shillong Lajong, has made the move to NK Bravo, a Slovenian-based team in Europe.

The news had been doing the rounds over the last few days and was confirmed by Lajong yesterday.

The Maharashtra born Yohaan had joined the Lajong youth setup in 2022 but he made a splash in the Shillong Premier League 2024, which Lajong won. Capable on both wings, Yohaan is an attacking player and he scored 9 goals in all in SPL 2024; he wasn’t by any means the top scorer but he was remarkably consistent, scoring in nine separate matches. The teenager was also an important part of the SLFC team that finished as runners-up in the Meghalaya State League 2024.

His performances were good enough for him to be included in the India U-19 men’s team that took part in the SAFF U-19 Championship 2025 in May.

“Yohaan has been a true example of growth and dedication,” SLFC said on social media as it wished him well for the next stage of his career.

NK Bravo play in Slovenia’s top tier and their youth team will also be in action in the UEFA Youth League from next month, which will probably be Yohaan’s focus for the moment.
