Shillong, Oct 28: Meghalaya romped to an 11-0 victory against Andhra Pradesh, with Marbiang Marwein scoring four goals along the way, in the Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship 2025-26 (Tier 2) in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, today morning.

Meghalaya, under coach Dapmon Tariang, had won 6-1 against Chhattisgarh on Sunday in their opening match. They continue to remain on top of the Group C standings, now with 6 points. Only the top team from each group will progress to the semifinals.

Marbiang, the Player of the Match, scored in the 2nd, 24th, 44th and 45th minutes. He had also scored two goals versus Chhattisgarh, so now has a total of six, and is the current top score of Tier 2.

Meghalaya’s other scorers today were Iaishanborlang Khongjee (9′), Damebandon Mawkhroh (16′), Wanpyndapbor Nongsiej (35′), Shiborlang Dkhar (59′, 66′), Davidson L Marshilong (81′) and Ferdinand Kharkrang (85′).

There is one more group game to go for Meghalaya, against Himachal Pradesh on Thursday at 8:30AM. Himachal beat Andhra in their opening game but lost to Chhattisgarh 3-0 today afternoon.
