Shillong, Jul 20: Manipur topped the medal tally at the 5th North East Zone Shooting Championship with 18 gold medals.
The tournament, which began on 15th July, concluded today at the Assam Regimental Centre here.
Manipur finished with 18 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze medals followed by Assam with 16 gold, 11 silver, 6 bronze, Meghalaya (6 gold, 7 silver and 9 bronze), Mizoram (5 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) and Nagaland (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) and Services (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze).
Over 200 shooters took part in the competition, which was divided into youth, junior and senior categories. The events included 10m rifle, 10m pistol, 50m rifle prone, 50m rifle 3-position, 25m standard pistol, 25m sports pistol and 25m centre fire pistol.
