Shillong, Oct 21: Meghalaya’s Women’s U-19 T20 League campaign concluded today in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, with a 168-run loss to Punjab today.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat Punjab racked up 203 runs for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs. Dasanbaniewkor Wahlang claimed 1/42 and Deiphibapynshngain L Mawnai took 1/50. Meghalaya in turn made 35/5 in their allotted overs.
This was Meghalaya’s final match of the tournament. They ran Sikkim very close in the opening match but the other games were all one-sided, but will act as a crucial learning experience for the Meghalaya girls.
In all Mawnai claimed six wickets for her state over the course of six matches, while Wahlang claimed five and Thymmei Lyngdoh four.
