Shillong, Mar 8: Samuel Lyngdoh Kynshi and Samuel Lalmuanpuia, who were included in the probables list of the Indian U-23 national team, failed to make the cut for the final squad that will take part in the U-23 AFC Championship Qualifiers in Uzbekistan later this month.
Kynshi and Lalmuanpuia travelled to Goa for the preparatory camp and were not available for Shillong Lajong’s last I-League match, which was held today.
However, the Lajong duo were not included in the final list of names published by the All India Football Federation website today.
The Indian U-23 team left today for Doha to take part in a friendly against Qatar on 11th March. In all 11 of the 23-member squad play for AIFF development side Indian Arrows in the I-League.
Kynshi has played in 24 I-League matches for Lajong (scoring six goals) and Lalmuanpuia 59 (scoring 10 goals).
