MFA releases inter-district transfer list

Shillong, Jul 1: The Meghalaya Football Association has released the names of those players who have been approved for transfer between districts for 2019.

Fifty-three players in all applied for and completed transfer formalities, with Niaw Wasa of West Jaintia Hills signing the most number of players (five) while Rising FC of the Shillong Sports Association saw the most leave (eight).

That puts the total number of players that Rising has said goodbye to at 19 with none signed in the SSA and inter-district transfer window.

Of the various associations, clubs affiliated with West Jaintia Hills have seen 24 players come in and 12 leave, while 20 footballers in clubs affiliated with the SSA have left while 12 have come in.

Though the MFA transfer window closed some time ago, the formalities requiring players to come to Shillong to complete paperwork and for associations to approve their transfer extends the amount of time required to approve the list.
