Shillong, Jun 18: Ri Syon won the second match of the Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC yesterday by defeating Pahamrioh 3-1 at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong.
Mark Austin Wanswett (30′) put Ri Syon into the lead in the first half but Pahamrioh equalised in the 64th minute via Sparkle Khongshei. Parity last just three minutes, however, as substitute Kevin Roine (67′) gave Ri Syon the lead once again.
A late goal by Orester Sad (86′) then ensured that Ri Syon carried all three points.
The next match will take place on 23rd June between Oste Phi Oiñ (B) and Shillong Lajong.
