Shillong, Jul 8: The second round of Third Division Group A matches was held at Second Ground, Polo, today.
In the first match Lamlynti came from a goal down to defeat Krang 2-1. Krang took the lead in only the second minute through N Shadap, but Lamlynti’s K Shabong responded with a brace of goals (8′, 65′) to secure victory. This is the first time this season that a team has overcome a deficit to win a match.
The second match then saw N Nongbri score (35′) for Umphrup as they won 1-0 over Umpling.
Risa Colony and Lumdiengjri then played out a goalless draw, which was the first of the season.
