Shillong, Aug 3: The three schools from East Khasi Hills – District War Sepngi Christian Higher Secondary School (U-14 boys), Umthli Higher Secondary School (U-17 girls) and H Elias Higher Secondary School (U-17 boys) – won all three of the finals of the state-level Subroto Cup at the JN Stadium here today.
Umthli won their final comfortably over Joel Gatphoh Memorial Synod Higher Secondary School (West Khasi Hills) 7-0 with a hat-trick from Nisilia Majaw.
District War Sepngi had it a little more difficult, having to come from a goal down to win 2-1 against Khliehumstem Secondary School of Ri-Bhoi.
The U-17 boys’ final saw H Elias win 6-1 against Church of God Secondary School (West Khasi Hills) with Henry Ford Nongneng recording a hat-trick.
Umthli and H Elias have won their respective titles for the last four years now.
