Shillong, Sep 17: Nongrim Hills defeated Laban 2-1 in the fourth match of Kynshi Bangla SCSC’s 2nd Football Knockout Tournament today.
Tonmoy Mondal put Laban into the lead in the 15th minute, but Nongrim Hills came back seven minutes later via Alem Khongwir. Bisharlang Mawthoh then scored the winner in the 72nd minute.
Mawthoh was adjudged man-of-the-match and, in a nice gesture, Laban manager Vicky Sangma was invited to present him with the award.
