Shillong, Nov 15: Chesterpaul Lyngdoh will play for Sudeva Delhi in the 2021-22 season of the I-League, TSR has learnt.

Lyngdoh had most recently featured for Ryntih FC, where he was on loan from Real Kashmir, in the I-League Qualifiers. However, the Shillong-based club were unable to get past the first round.

Instead of returning to the Snow Leopards, with whom he has made 21 I-League appearances across two seasons and won the IFA Shield last December, Lyngdoh will now wear Sudeva colours along with fellow Meghalayans Shaiborlang Kharpan, Allen Lyngdoh Nongbri and Sheen Sohktung.

Before joining Kashmir, the midfielder had featured in 25 I-League games for Churchill Brothers and three for Mohun Bagan, scoring four goals in a total of 49 appearances.

The 24-year-old was at the forefront of Ryntih’s campaign in the I-League Qualifiers in Bangalore. He was in the thick of the action in all three of Ryntih’s games and created some of the best opportunities to score, though he ultimately didn’t get his name on the scoresheet.
