Shillong, Sep 20: Meghalaya made their mark in their first match of the 62nd Subroto Cup with a 2-0 victory over Goa in Pool G of the U-17 girls’ category today.
Meghalaya are being represented at the tournament by Saiden Secondary School from Ri-Bhoi.
It was a bright and early start at 7AM in New Delhi and the goals came late in the 60-minute match with Eiladki Ksoo producing the first after a solo run in the 57th minute.
Danishisha Lyngdoh (60’+1) then doubled the lead in the first minute of second half stoppage time to bag full points for Meghalaya.
Meghalaya will play Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan tomorrow at the same time.
