Shillong, Sep 8: The Shillong Cricket Association Academy was launched at Polo Ground here yesterday.
The formal ribbon-cutting was done by Meghalaya Cricket Association President Nababrata Bhattacharjee. MCA Honorary Treasurer Dhrubajyoti Thakuria was also present, along with SCA President Peter M Kharsawian, SCA General Secretary Banri Kharmalki, other SCA officials, academy coaches and the players themselves.
This is the SCA’s first academy. (There is a separate Shillong Cricket Academy that operates from Lawsohtun, which is an initiative of the MCA.)
The SCA Academy is open to girls and boys from the ages of 8 to 18 and boasts of good facilities and experienced coaches.
