Shillong, Nov 11: The East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2024 began in Diengshynrum, Khliehriat, today.
Sutnga SSCC defeated Chiehruphi SYWSC 1-0 with a solitary goal by Raplangki Lyngdoh (48′).
Later, Rymbai Iawpynsing SC and Thangskai Tiger SC played out a 1-1 draw. Hesmiki Rymbai (5′) struck first for R Iawpynsing before Pynthymme Rymbai (19′) equalised for the Tigers.
Rymbai Shkenshynriah SC are the defending champions, while Sutnga were the runners-up from last year. Chiehruphi and Ladrymbai B SC are the newly-promoted teams this season.
The other teams taking part are Dhana SC and Khliehriat West YWSC.
