Shillong, Feb 19: A last gasp equaliser from Daniel Goncalves netted a point for Shillong Lajong FC as they came away from an I-League 2024-25 match against Dempo SC level at 2-2 in Goa today.

Lajong coach Jose Carlos Rodriguez Hevia made just one change from the win against Sreenidi Deccan five days ago, bringing in Sheen Sohktung for Figo Syndai.
Marcus Joseph put the hosts in front in the 39th minute but Daniel (47′) levelled the scoreline early in the second half. Dempo reclaimed the lead through Mohamed Ali (52′) soon after and it wasn’t until some 45 minutes later that Lajong equalised for a second time with Daniel’s (90’+7) second.
Lajong will head from Goa to Bangalore where they will take on 10th-placed SC Bengaluru on 26th February.
