Shillong, Mar 24: Nongmensong CC defeated Langsning CC by 23 runs in their Group A match of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here today.
Langsning won the toss and chose to field and they were able to dismiss Nongmensong for 171 in 37 overs. Anish Charak hit 33 from 57 balls, while Himan Phukan wasn’t far behind with 32 from 29. Langsning’s Shembhalang Pyngrope scalped 3/26 in 8 overs.
In reply, Himan took 4/21 in 8 overs as Langsning were restricted to 148/9 in 40 overs. Zahir Alam (45 from 47 balls) and Ibitlang Thabah (30 from 63) were the top scorers for Langsning.
Himan (pictured left) was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Tomorrow, Royal CC will face Sporting CC in the last round robin match of Group A.
