Shillong, Nov 7: Nongkseh’s run of seven clean sheets in the ongoing Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 came to an end today but they still registered an eighth consecutive victory with a 5-2 triumph against bottom side Ryntih at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

Khrawkupar Jana (2′, 13′), Chesterpaul Lyngdoh (6′) and Arlangky Nongsiej (45’+1) had given Nongkseh a 4-0 lead before Leversharp M Syiemlieh (51′) scored for Ryntih.
Chesterpaul (61′) added another 10 minutes later but Nongkseh would concede another to Leversharp (83′) before the final whistle.
The two sides could not have had a more different experience in the First Division.
Nongkseh have won eight out of eight games with just one left against second-placed Meghalaya Police to go.
Ryntih, meanwhile, have only earned 1 point in seven outings. They still have a mathematical chance to avoid relegation but will need strong performances against Mawkhar and Nongrah to do so.
Tomorrow’s fixture:
Pohkseh vs Lawsohtun, 1:15PM
