Shillong, Jan 13: Rangdajied United finished on top of Group C in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2025 after a 0-0 draw against New Challenger at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

The other match, in Group A, was also a draw but saw four goals with Nongthymmai and Mawshbuit finishing 2-2.
Isha Warjri (3′, 51′) took the lead twice for Nongthymmai only to see Mawshbuit equalise both times, through Daiahun Marbaniang (9′) and Phibansharai Umdor (68′).
The draw ensured Nongthymmai finished second in the group. Mawshbuit remain at the bottom but at least bagged a couple of goals and a point from their Women’s League campaign.
Later, both Rangdajied and New Challenger had already qualified for the quarterfinals but today was to decide which finished the group in first place.
With a better goal difference, RUFC just had to draw and that is exactly what happened, though the match was of high quality despite the deadlock.
The league stage will end tomorrow with two Group B games.
Tomorrow’s fixtures:
Group B, Lawei vs Lawsohtun, 12:30PM
Group B, Lumparing vs Pay For Right, 2:30PM
