Shillong, Apr 6: Shillong Lajong will be determined to put their best foot forward when they take on lowly Dempo in Round 7 of the Indian Football League 2025-26 at Margao, Goa, on Tuesday. Kick-off will be at 6:30PM.
This will be Lajong’s fourth consecutive away match and so far they’ve been brilliant, with two wins and a draw.
SLFC are currently third with 11 points but could move back to second tomorrow as Sreenidi Deccan (12 points) have already played their seventh round match.
On the other side of the equation are Dempo, one of the most successful clubs in Indian football history, with five titles across the National Football League and I-League.
The Goans, however, are struggling in the newest incarnation of the tournament and have yet to win a match in IFL 2025-26.
With three draws and three defeats, Dempo are second from the bottom in the standings, with only Real Kashmir (two draws, five defeats) having a worse time.
