Shillong, Jun 1: Smit’s tireless attempts to deny Langsning almost bore fruit, but the defending champions struck with two late goals to claim victory in their U-18 SPL match 2-0 at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Tremiki Lamurong scored both goals, in the 87th and 90+2 minutes, for Langsning.
Langsning thus have a full nine points from three outings, while Smit remain on four. Langsning and Nangkiew Irat are tied on points, but the former are in front at the top of the table thanks to head-to-head advantage.
On Monday Mawkhar are scheduled to take on Laban at 3:45PM.
