Shillong, Aug 20: Laitkyrhong pipped Umphyrnai 2-1 in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The earlier match today, also in Group B, saw Nongmensong and Marbisu split points in a 1-1 draw.
Joinborlang Nongspung (9′) and Learning Warlarpih (24′) scored for Laitkyrhong, while Umphyrnai’s goal by Shemjingmut Kharmyndai (16′) was sandwiched in between.
Meanwhile, the other game saw Banlamshwa Jyrwa (34′) give the lead to Marbisu but Nongmensong equalised early in the second half through Kevin Diengdoh (49′).
