Shillong, Mar 31: Meghalaya have added another two bronze medals to their overall tally in the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 in Chhattisgarh.
Juh Pa U Juh Nongtdu (pictured left) clinched a bronze medal in the men’s 60kg Greco-Roman category in the wrestling events, while Melibad Kro (right) took bronze in the women’s shot put in athletics.
Meghalaya’s total medal count now stands at 4 – all bronze. Three of the four medallists are women.
The other medallists are Verem Gedaliah Nongsiej in swimming’s 50m freestyle and Larityngkai Lawriniang in weightlifting’s 53kg category.
Meghalaya are currently 22nd in the medals table, according to the official standings today.
