Shillong, Jul 1: Neetesh Sharma has been named as bowling coach of Nagaon Rangers, one of the teams in the new franchise-based Assam Premier League.
Sharma, a BCCI-recognised coach, has led several Meghalaya Cricket Association teams over recent years, mostly at the U-23 and U-25 men’s levels.
Apart from head coach duties, Sharma has also been assistant coach of the U-25 men’s team in 2021-22, manager of the U-23 women’s team in 2019-20 and U-23 men’s team in 2018-19, a Joint Secretary in the Shillong Cricket Association and active player in the Shillong Cricket League.
The news, announced by Nagaon Rangers yesterday, resulted in congratulations from past and present Meghalaya cricketers. The news was also shared by the Shillong Cricket Association.
