Shillong, Jun 4: Shillong Lajong returned to the U-18 Shillong Premier League with a 1-0 win over Marbisu at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Lajong have not played since their opening fixture on 16th May, when they drew 0-0 with Lawsohtun, as most of their team went off to play in the final round of the Junior League (formerly U-15 Youth League) where they lost in the semifinal round.
Badonlang Rapsang scored the only goal of the game in the 30th minute. He thus became the 50th different player to score this season.
The match saw SLFC pepper the opposition with attempts on goal, but several of these were wayward. Marbisu, meanwhile, had a few chances of their own, but it was largely a game in which Lajong dominated.
Tomorrow bottom side Ryntih are scheduled to take on Nongrim Hills at 3:45PM.
