Shillong, Aug 7: Ribansi Jamu, a goalkeeper, has become the second Laitkor SC women’s team player to be selected by Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools’ residential academy in Nashik, Maharashtra.
Jamu was part of the Laitkor team that finished as runners-up in the recently-concluded Shillong Sports Association Women’s League.
She will leave for Nashik on Tuesday where she will reunite with Iaraplang Nongrum, who also played for Laitkor this season.
Last year, Jamu was named Best Goalkeeper in the U-17 girls’ division of the State Level Subroto Cup, playing for Sati Raja Memorial SS of Ri-Bhoi.
