Shillong, Oct 28: Lamlynti FC of Madanlyngkhi bagged the last berth available in the last-four of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division by edging Madan SCC 1-0 in the fourth quarterfinal at First Ground, Polo, here today.
The only goal of the game came in the 61st minute and was an own goal by a Madan SCC player. This was the only own goal so far in the competition this season.
Lamlynti thus join Mawkriah West, Iatyllilang SC and Kharang SC in the semifinals. Three of the four quarterfinal matches finished 1-0, with Mawkriah West requiring penalties yesterday against Mawkasiang.
According to the schedule provided earlier by the SSA, the first semifinal will take place on 31st October between Lamlynti and Kharang. The second semi will follow the next day between Iatyllilang and Mawkriah West. Both games are slated to begin at 1:45PM at First Ground.
