Shillong, Apr 4: The West Jaintia Hills District Sports Officer will organise the annual District Level Inter-School Athletics Meet 2024 at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium in Jowai.
The three-day event will run from 1st to 3rd May in U-14, U-16 and U-18 categories for boys and girls of the district.
Those wishing to take part in the U-14 category must be born between 30th November 2010 and 30th November 2012.
The U-16 category is open to those born between 30th November 2008 and 30th November 2010, while the U-18 age group is open to those born between 30th November 2006 and 30th November 2008.
Entries must be submitted by 18th April. Screening of athletes will take place on 22nd April at the Kiang Nangbah Indoor Stadium in Jowai from 9AM to 4PM.
There will also be a meeting with teachers, representatives and school officials on 25th April 25 at 1PM at the office of the DSO.
Schools interested in participating can obtain entry forms during office hours from the DSO’s office. Athletes are required to bring their original Aadhaar card, birth certificate, and a photocopy of their birth certificate from the Municipal Board/CHC/PHC on the screening date.
No new athlete enrollments will be accepted after the screening. Each athlete must also provide a passport-sized photograph along with their form. Submission of Aadhaar card, birth certificate and, if applicable, AFI-UID registration is mandatory for all participants for age verification.
