Shillong, Sep 23: A day after she won gold in the U-18 women’s high jump, Tusame N Marak claimed a second medal, this time a bronze, in the U-18 women’s javelin at the 37th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2026 in Patna today.
Tusame threw a distance of 32.78 metres to secure third place.
Incidentally, she won a bronze at the same event last year as well.
The three-day regional championship will conclude tomorrow. The Meghalaya Athletics Association has sent a contingent comprising 29 athletes and four officials.
