Shillong, Mar 25: Four candidates from Meghalaya who took a junior video analyst course passed the exams and will be empanelled with the BCCI, the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) informed today.
The four are Donboklang Rekon Lyngdoh, Salmitmat D Marak, Nishan Singh Nahar and Meinam Amit Singh.
The course was organised by the BCCI for New Area Development Programme states and was hosted by the MCA in Shillong from 18th to 21st March.
Video analysis is crucial in modern sport and involves studying data from one’s own team and opponents to help coaches and players.
Last year the BCCI doubled the amount it pays to senior video analysts to Rs 15,000 per day (Rs 7,500 for T20 matches), while assistant video analysts now receive Rs 10,000 per day (Rs 5,000 for T20 matches), up from Rs 3,000.
